FAQ

Q: How will lessons be held?

A: The lessons will be held on a Zoom meeting that I will set up and e-mail to you.

Q: Will I need to purchase any additional materials?

A: Depending on the student's level, I might recommend you invest in particular method and technical books.

Q: How much should I practice between lessons.

A: There is no minimum or maximum amount a student should practice. Instead, a student should practice enough to reach the student's lesson goals in each week. We will set these goals together at the lesson.

Q: What should I prepare before the first lesson?

A: If the student already plays trumpet, the student should prepare a piece they can play that demonstrates their current abilities. If you have never played trumpet, don't worry about preparing anything just come with a positive attitude!

Q: How do I see if you are the right fit?

A: I will offer the first lesson free, so you can see how I teach and so I can answer any questions you might have.

Q: I wasn't able to practice very much, should I still attend the lesson?

A: Yes! We all get busy or unmotivated sometimes. Just let me know and I can help you through what you missed, or just help get motivation back if needed!

Q: How can I reschedule my lesson time?

A: If you need to miss a lesson, please contact me as soon as you realize you have a conflict and I will try to reschedule.

Q: How and when can I contact you with any questions I have?

A: You can contact me by phone at (916) 844-4215 or by email at tai@wieler.com at any time and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Helping students will be my highest priority.

Q: Can parents sit in on the lessons?

A: For the first couple lessons, parents may sit in, but as we progress it might be more beneficial to the student to be alone with their teacher. If the student wants the parent in the lesson, they may join as they please.
